World of Origin:

Occupation:
SWORD Alliance operative, Research Division
Personality:
An intelligent amnesiac, while Prism can't remember her real name, she knows quite a bit about ancient archaeology. Admiring the old gods of the past, she considers her work a way to call back to the past. Able to deduce her lineage from the markings on her fur, she seeks the past as an answer to her present. She takes to things with unbridled passion, wanting to work for the good of mankind and beyond-- those doomed to repeat the past are ones who don't learn from it, and she's very devoted to making sure every relic that can help SWORD first and GUN second ends up in the right hands.
Quiet and dedicated, she's made herself useful to SWORD through thorough reports and testing samples, as well as using her geomancy on the field. She has an intense complex about usefulness, because what is life without purpose? An amnesiac has nothing to cling to, so she's dedicated herself to her work. Very personally, she'd like to have a family with the right person because she's all about forging a future where she's surrounded herself with people she cares about, as if making up for lost time. She never shares this insecurity outside of her diary entries, of which she's filled several volumes.
Her personal weaknesses come in from doubting and second guessing herself, unsure of who the real her really is. Speaking of...
The real Prism, Sapphire was cold, calculating, and prone to fits of jealous outrage at any kind of rejection. A manipulator to the end, she was once well known in the underground before the event that changed her life. Those who still know her are glad to have her gone as competition, or simply prefer the new Prism.
Strengths:
Resilient to a fault, Prism always gets back on her feet. While she'd love to learn about her past or discover why she is the way she is, she has no trouble living her life as it is given to her. Burning with curiosity, she always puts her best into uncovering all kinds of ruins, relics, and gems. She's good at buying her way into people's good graces with gemstones made from her geomancy, a shrewd businesswoman who tells soft lies and says they were uncovered during a dig. However, she uses this all for the greater good for getting into dig sites and doesn't really consider it cheating-- it's still the same mineral, at its base components!
Prism is also a geomancer. Somewhat like how you can grow rock sugar on a string, Prism can speed up the process at which gems form, to the point where she canlike Pink Diamond crush dirt between her knuckles and have it harden into a pure stone. She can also, using a wand or a staff as a conduit, form other gems, though it's important to note that these are not super-powered gemstones. They're just regular ones. She can craft them up to about the size of a shield.
Weaknesses:
The real Prism is still there, hidden beneath all of her broken memories, and however she can be triggered back into existence is a very real threat to the present Prism. Neither would want to exist as the other, so Prism is almost in a constant struggle to try not to remember too much, as if looking in the mirror too long could produce an ugly person. Prism also is weak to sweet-talking, and the right person promising the right thing can get her to follow them unless it's too out of character (i.e. abandoning SWORD).
Emerald Abilities:
Sol Fractal
Able to create a wall of living crystal around herself that's unbreakable until she wills it if she's holding one Sol Emerald. Able to cover a substantial amount of ground if she has all seven, including other people. This living crystal will sustain them, but leave them in an I-have-no-mouth-and-I-must-scream situation.
History:
Prism was originally born Sapphire, to lowly mercenary parents who would soon raise her to enter their field. A bitter, jealous person, Sapphire would buy people's love and affection with gemstones created with her powers, making her a forger unable to be caught. She would also use her powers for weaponry, for things that needed something as sharp as diamonds to cut. Sapphire drowned herself in attention from others, and would cling to boyfriends/girlfriends for her own personal validation.
Sapphire came from a line of mercenaries who'd worshipped the old gods, all the way back to Astarte herself. Whether or not she is descended from them, no one can truly say, because when Sapphire went to her old temple ruins to get answers, a cave-in collapsed around her, and she threw up a crystal shield to protect herself-- but rock is rock, and when the crumbling cave collided with the shield, it collided with her head, knocking her out.
When she came to, it had been days without food or water, and one of SWORD's elite task forces was sent to find her. Apparently there to arrest her for forgery, they noticed that Sapphire hadn't remembered a single thing about herself. At first suspicious, they questioned her relentlessly, before indeed confirming she was an amnesiac. They convinced their captain not to release information to the newly-christened Prism, because this person wasn't at all like the reports-- she was kind, patient, and most of all, curious-- and was getting worried with their responses to her about what kind of person she really was. She was able to talk to SWORD agents from there, and share research from papers she had previously written (though containing no clues about her personality).
SWORD would then accommodate her and fund her research, keeping a close eye on her and reaping the rewards of her research. Prism has a fur marking on her hip that's closely tied to Astarte's temple, but whether it's a coincidence or not, no one can really say.
(More likely than not, Sapphire/Prism is descended from a geomancer Indole who called themselves "Astarte", not an actual god.)
