Name:
Lupe the Wolf
Nicknames:
Just "Lupe", really
Species:
Wolf
Gender:
Female
Age:
26
Alignment:
Neutral good
Height:
(5'0'')
Residence:
Homeless, at the moment. Was the Great Unknown, but the Wolf Pack's hideout was attacked and destroyed.
Occupation:
Leader of the Wolf Pack (although the group has been dispersed at the moment and she is attempting to locate the members of her lost pack)
Personality:
When she led the Wolf Pack, she radiated a sense of tranquility and kindness, treating everyone in her pack as a close brother or sister...like a calm port in the storm that was the world after Robotnik took over. You almost wouldn't think she was the leader of a group of freedom fighters in the midst of war.
However, this was shattered once she lost most of her pack a second time and was left alone. Now she carries a far more weary, angry air. Angry that Robotnik took so much away from her not once, but twice. She wishes for nothing more than to see him defeated and to be reunited with her packmates again. Her kind and gentle nature is more of a facade at this point, while inside she is terrified of how fragile everything around her is...how nothing is certain in this world she has had to grow up in.
Having grown up as part of a pack almost her entire life, she is deathly afraid of being alone and does whatever she can to be with others, which is what motivates her to journey to the Great Forest to join up with Sonic's Freedom Fighters after losing her pack. She fears having the same thing happen to her a third time, and may go to extreme lengths to prevent the losses of any more people she loves.
With that being said, she does make friends easily, getting along with most without much problems. She generally knows how to talk to people and help them relax very quickly around her, as if they'd known each other for years. It was part of how she managed to keep her pack under control in the first place, and why others were so willing to listen to her.
She has a mind for tactics as well, and when it comes to planning a raid or a battle it's like a switch flips in her head where she takes on a tactician's and warrior's mindset, able to easily analyze a situation and figure out the best plan of attack to get what she wants. She may suddenly seem very cold and distant to others when this switch is turned.
Strengths:
Lupe had to grow up very quickly between her father being roboticized and needing to assume control of the pack. Because of this, she tends to be a fast learner and adapt quickly as needed. Necessary skills needed to survive in the world created after Robotnik took over.
For example, she learned a lot about technology from stealing and repurposing Robotnik's technology, when before she wasn't well versed in such things. Her Wolf Pack was able to acquire a very large stock of his tech before they were scattered, giving her significant opportunity to practice programming, engineering, and jury-rigging new creations from scrap.
She is very much prepared to do what is necessary to stay alive or win the day, without much in the way of hesitation. In the midst of battle, she may radiate a somewhat cold aura because of this. She has a very tactical mindset, and is capable of coming up with battle plants without much trouble.
She understands the power of teamwork, and that she can only do so much by herself. Having been part of a wolf pack since her birth, she knows the value of family and friends at her back, and does whatever she can to make friends with those she can, knowing she will probably need their help for whatever it is she needs to do.
Having grown up as part of a wolf pack, she is a skilled hunter and tracker, with a strong sense of smell and very deep wells of endurance. She knows her way around using many hunting-oriented weapons, like spears, knives, and bows and arrows. She also knows how to set traps, and once she has learned about her quarry she is skilled at figuring out ways to make it fall into said traps.
Weaknesses:
Her mental state is in a somewhat fragile state, after her Wolf Pack having suffered not one, but two devastating attacks from Robotnik. While she tries to put on a strong image for others, inside she finds it difficult to forget the losses of everyone she has loved, and it weighs heavily on her mind, making her question her abilities and skills in the present.
She is deeply afraid of losing anyone else she loves. Having already lost her father to Robotnik, plus becoming separated from her pack, she is fearful of losing anyone else, and can easily be manipulated by others who have taken captive those she cares about. She does *not* want to lose anyone else at any cost.
History:
During Lupe's childhood, it was a peaceful time where she and the rest of the Wolf Pack resided in the northern reaches of Mobius. Her tribe respected the land they cultivated, being very careful to preserve it as best as they could while living on it. All of this came to a halt when Robotnik launched his attack to take over Mobius. The Wolf Pack was taken by surprise in the initial attacks, with most of the pack being captured along with the pack's leader...Lupe's father.
The surviving members made Lupe their leader because of her father, and they retreated quickly to the Great Unknown to hide in the caverns lining the canyons. They eked out an existence for a while, managing to attack Robotnik's outpost and raid it for techology to make it easier to fight back. For a while Lupe felt good about their position, thinking that things were starting to look up and they might actually be able to take the fight to Robotnik one day. She was gaining more experience every day, learning more about how to lead effectively and cults tooivate their strengths while culling their weaknesses. It became easy for them to take what they wanted. They became even stronger when Sonic and Sally ventured to the Great Unknown to recruit them into an alliance to fight Robotnik.
Lupe thought it was time to push their luck a bit further in their raids. Little did she know Robotnik was taking note of the nuisance she was becoming, and was laying a plan to stop her little games.
They raided an outpost full of a bountiful wealth of techology, food and weapons. Lupe thought it was took good to be true...and she turned out to be right. It was a trap set by Robotnik, hordes of SWATbots and more of his forces spilling out of the wood work, hoping to crush the Wolf Pack once and for all. Lupe just barely managed to escape with her life, not knowing what happened to the rest of her pack. When she returned home to their hideout, she found it destroyed, more of Robotnik's forces milling in the area. She waited around to see if any of the other pack might return home so she could reunite with them...but none came back.
Weary and defeated, she gathered up what little supplies she could scrounge and made her way to Knothole, not knowing what else to do at the moment with her hideout compromised and her pack scattered to the winds. She hoped she could make it there...maybe get some sort of help from Sonic and Sally, perhaps find her pack mates again. But the journey turned out to be much longer and harder than she anticipated, especially from the physical and psychological scars she picked up when her pack was destroyed.
